The Land of Saints and Scholars has
welcomed many civilizations and their
influences over centuries. The Celts,
the Vikings, the Normans and of course
the Egyptians...........?
Yes, The Egyptians. Well there was a lot of moving about back then. The Celts in
south eastern Europe went all directions.
Through, what is now Turkey and southern Bulgaria, north and east to modern Germany and of course through to these islands, off the north east of Europe.
The Celts travelled far and wide across
the world, trading as they went. So it's not such a wild leap, from Maghagha on
the banks of the Great River Nile, to
Maghera, nestling behind the Dunes, on
the shores of the Bay of the Red Wave,
in the shadow of the Mourne Mountains.
